Karen Robson is the co-author of The Stata Survival Manual, recently (2009) published by Open University/McGraw Hill.

The is the first time that this course has been offered in Canada. The skills you will learn in this course will help a user with no previous experience in Stata be able undertake analysis up to and including multiple regression. It is assumed that attendees have basic statistical knowledge as this course focuses on teaching Stata programming, not statistics.

About the Instructor

Karen Robson is a statistical  trainer with ten years of experience teaching statistical software to university undergraduate and postgraduate students, health care professionals, government agencies, and business people.

Previously, all of my Stata courses have occurred in Europe, but due to numerous inquiries, I have decided to offer a few in Toronto.

About the Course

The first course will be “Introduction to Stata” and will be in a very similar format to the course I teach at Essex except instead of being taught over 5 half days, the course will be taught in 1 full day.

The course is multidisciplinary in nature—it covers statistical techniques relevant to the social sciences, business, and health/medical disciplines.
